Ulcral®

Active principle: Each 5 mL of oral suspension contains: Sucralfate 1 g; excipients q.s.
Pharmaceutical form: Suspension

Concentration: 1 G/5ML.
Presentation: 200 mL BOTTLE.
Indications: Therapeutic indications - Peptic ulcer: gastric or duodenal. Reflux esophagitis, erosive gastritis, duodenitis. Prevention of stress ulcers and nosocomial pneumonia in mechanically ventilated patients. Stomatitis, mucositis, and prevention of bleeding following sclerotherapy of esophageal varices.

Doses

● Gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, erosive gastritis, duodenitis - 2 measuring cups of 5 mL of suspension in the morning and at bedtime.
Reflux esophagitis - 1 measuring cup of 5 mL of suspension after each of the three main meals and at bedtime.
Acute-phase therapy - For gastric and duodenal ulcers, the usual duration of treatment is 4 to 8 weeks and may be extended to 12 weeks or longer in selected patients, as advised by the treating physician.
Maintenance therapy - In cases of gastric or duodenal ulcer, 1 measuring cup of 5 mL in the morning and at bedtime. Prevention of stress ulcers and nosocomial pneumonia in mechanically ventilated patients - 1 measuring cup of 5 mL of suspension every 4 hours.
Stomatitis and mucositis - 1 measuring cup of 5 mL of suspension 6 times daily after routine oral hygiene and at bedtime. The suspension should be kept in the mouth for 2 minutes and then discarded or swallowed.
